Tim Borchers

President, Trust Executive

Tim, co-founder of Northeast Private Trustees, offers expertise in trust administration, tax planning, estate planning, probate, and real estate. He has served for many years in multiple fiduciary capacities, including

Trustee, Executor, Personal Representative, Power of Attorney holder, and Health Care Proxy (something that NPT itself cannot do). Tim holds the industry-leading designation of Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) and has completed the Cannon Graduate Trust School, Level III. He will accept court appointments, in addition to being named in trust instruments (now under the title of Northeast Private Trustees, LTD).

Marc Cusano

VP, CFO, Trust Executive

As a co-founder of Northeast Private Trustees, Marc offers expertise in trust planning, trust administration, trust interpretation, tax planning and preparation, business succession planning, and probate, and has experience serving

in many fiduciary capacities including Trustee, Personal Representative, and Power of Attorney. He also serves as a Trust Protector in countless trust arrangements and understands how to apply the terms of a trust against current laws.

Trust and integrity are very important factors in the choice of a fiduciary. Marc works to build this through patient, straightforward explanation of the many nuances involved in the trust administration process as it relates to both short and long-term trust relationships.

Paula Nolan

Vice President, Trust Officer

Paula joined Northeast Private Trustees, Ltd. as a Trust Officer having spent over 30 years honing her skills, managing client financial accounts and relations as well as multitasking as senior paralegal and office manager for estate planning attorneys.

Knowledgeable in estates and trusts, real estate, and corporate areas, she assists concurrently with services to trustees and beneficiaries for Northeast Private Trustees, Ltd. Trust officers are the primary point of contact between the beneficiary and the Trustee, will approve certain distributions, and will facilitate all other services to the beneficiary.

Paul Cusano

Tax Consultant

Paul is our tax consultant and an innovator in financial, accounting & tax solutions for trusts, businesses, and individuals. Paul has managed tax, accounting, review, compilation, and auditing for clients for over 30 years. This experience has

enabled him to provide a solid foundation of services that encompasses the entire spectrum of needs when implementing tax strategies for various trusts and estates, and their beneficiaries.  He also serves clients in developing tax and accounting strategies for the proper administration of trusts.

Kevin Stiles

Senior Trust Advisor

Building on an extensive executive career representing several nationally known premier high net worth institutions, Kevin Stiles now serves as a Senior Trust Advisor to Northeast Private Trustees in its administration of trusts.

In the role of original trustee or successor trustee, he collaborates with other professionals or with families and foundations on account relationships where the governing document requires a professional trustee.

Mr. Stiles offers a personal, disciplined approach to fiduciary administration and investment oversight. He has extensive experience providing sound judgment and insight to families with substantial assets; private foundations with designated beneficiaries or discretionary grant-making responsibilities, assuring at all times compliance with pertinent IRS and OCC regulations and protocols.

Mackenzie Hager

Trust Officer

As a Trust Officer, Mackenzie assists Trustees in carrying out and executing the specific terms of a trust. She works as the point of contact between Trustees and beneficiaries. Mackenzie coordinates with tax professionals and investment firms.

She works with generations of family members. Mackenzie also oversees the coordination and distribution of mandatory reports. She oversees the distribution of gifts derived from charitable trusts.

Trust Administrator

Nikki will be your first point of contact to introduce you to our services and coordinate a time for you to meet with one of our fiduciaries to discuss how we may be of assistance. Nikki communicates directly with clients to answer questions
and interfaces with trust executives, trust officers, and our tax consultant to ensure seamless account management. She joined Northeast Private Trustees in 2019, bringing an impressive 20 years of customer service experience, much of it in the insurance industry. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Rochester Institute of Technology where she nurtured skills that help her in her role as a highly organized, adaptable, and focused multi-tasker. Today, Nikki comes alongside our clients and attorneys, providing administrative support for all of our trustee services.
